Нижнекамскнефтехим провел спецобучение сотрудников

(Нижнекамскнефтехим) -- 25 августа 2010 года на базе ОАО Нижнекамскнефтехим силами управления ФСБ РФ по РТ во взаимодействии с подразделениями МВД по РТ, ГУ МЧС РФ по РТ, Правительством РТ проводились тактико-специальные учения Технология-7, направленные на пресечение возможных террористических акций на объектах нефтехимического комплекса.

Цель учения - отработка взаимодействий и координация деятельности между оперативными штабами силовых ведомств, участвующих в проведении совместных антитеррористических мероприятий, а также проверка действий персонала ОАО Нижнекамскнефтехим и специальных служб г. Нижнекамска.
По легенде учений, группа террористов, произведя отвлекающий взрыв на одном из объектов акционерного общества, захватила заложников из числа персонала управления. На территории Нижнекамского района был введен режим контр-террористической операции (КТО). По прибытии оперативного штаба начаты переговоры. Террористы с целью доказать серьезность своих намерений произвели подрыв цистерны с хлором на объекте ОАО Нижнекамскнефтехим. Специальными службами г.Нижнекамска был проведен комплекс мероприятий по минимизации и ликвидации последствий теракта в очаге химического заражения, в том числе эвакуации персонала предприятия и населения восточной части города в эвакопункты. Силы специального назначения, находящиеся в боевой готовности, произвели захват террористов и освободили заложников.

ВОРОНЕЖ (СИБУР) -- СИБУР совместно c производителем несъемной опалубки ООО ТСТ-Дом провел в Воронежской области испытания вспенивающегося полистирола (ПСВ), произведенного компанией Sunpor (Австрия). Результаты испытаний будут учтены на новом производстве СИБУРа в Перми, которое строится по лицензии Sunpor.

В задачи программы премаркетинга входит подготовка рынка переработки вспенивающегося полистирола к новому продукту, определение возможности его использования в каждой конкретной технологии переработки с учетом специфики оборудования переработчика. Результаты испытаний продемонстрировали соответствие нового продукта всем требованиям к готовым изделиям из ПСВ по плотности, ломкости и горючести. В ближайшее время аналогичные испытания будут проведены на предприятиях компаний Кnauf и LG.

Производство вспенивающегося полистирола в Перми является частью комплексного инвестиционного проекта стирольная цепочка, включающего в себя строительство и расширение на Сибур-Химпроме трех взаимосвязанных производств. В 2010 году производство стирола будет увеличено со 100 тыс. тонн до 135 тыс. тонн в год, начнет действовать производство этилбензола мощностью 220 тыс. тонн в год и вспенивающегося полистирола мощностью 50 тыс. тонн в год. Предполагается, что в 2012 году объем производства вспенивающегося полистирола будет увеличен до 100 тыс. тонн в год.

LONDON (ICIS news)--The August caprolactam contract rolled over from July despite a ┬12/tonne drop in the August benzene contract price, most producers and consumers said on Wednesday.

The pre-discounted August caprolactam contract settled at ┬2,160-2,216/tonne ($2,734-2,805/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).

Buyers said that producers had initially nominated a price increase, but that these proposals had generally been dropped. Two consumers said that a few nominal increases had occurred, but said these failed to make even a marginal difference to the overall level of values.

⌠I tried to get some reduction, of course. Producers tried to get an increase but, frankly speaking, [the rollover] was a bit of s surprise for me," a major buyer said.

Sources said the main reason for the rollover was the fall in benzene numbers in August, which reduced producers' costs and therefore enabled them to achieve a modest improvement in margin without needing to raise prices for customers. There was also some recognition that margins had already been expanded in the previous months.

LONDON (ICIS)--Yule Catto & Co's first-half 2010 underlying net profit grew by 25.8% to ?19.2m (┬23.4m, $29.6m) compared with the same period in 2009, as the group's polymer and impact chemicals divisions all recorded a pick-up in sales growth, the UK specialty chemicals company said on Thursday.

Total sales for the six months ended 30 June rose by 23.6% year on year to ?326.6m, it added.

⌠The group had an excellent first half, with strong growth in earnings driven by profits in our core polymers division, building further on the substantial improvements we delivered in 2009, said Adrian Whitfield, Yule Catto's chief executive.

⌠The group exited the first half with firm demand across nearly all areas in the polymer business and a strong order book in pharma and impact. The board anticipates performance in the second half should continue at a broadly similar level to the first half, albeit with the usual seasonal trend, Whitfield added.

Yule Catto's polymer chemicals business saw sales grow in the first half by 28.4% year on year to ?278.8m, while operating profit for the sector rose by 19.2% to ?29.2m.

The group's pharma sector reported a 5.3% year on year fall in sales to ?33.8m, while operating profit fell by 18.9% to ?3.0m.

Yule Catto's impact chemicals business, William Blythe, recorded a 22.6% rise in sales to ?14.1m compared with the same period in 2009, while its operating profit rose by 77.8% to ?1.6m.

Looking at the economy, Yule Catto said it remained cautious due to mixed global growth patterns, with robust growth in Asia offset by weaker growth in Europe and North America.

⌠However, Yule Catto's robust financial position, strong portfolio of market leading products, and high percentage of sales into Asia and other developing economies, underpin the board's confidence in the group's prospects for the medium term, Whitfield said.

LONDON (ICIS)--Cognis swung to a net profit of ┬109m ($138m) in the first half of 2010, compared with a loss of ┬20m reported in the same period of last year, due to a steady improvement in sales volumes, the specialty chemicals producer said on Thursday.

Sales for the first six months of 2010 rose by 16.3% year on year to ┬1.51bn as volumes increased by 12.6% on higher demand, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, the company added.

Cognis said the half-year results were the best in the company's history.

⌠The development we are experiencing indicates not just a recovery, but real growth in consumer and industrial markets, said CEO Antonio Trius.

⌠We strengthened our market position and maintained our margins despite higher raw material costs. The excellent performance was again largely driven by our improved product mix, along with higher sales volumes, higher capacity utilisation and stable operating costs, Trius added.

Cognis' care chemicals unit saw sales rise 16.0% year on year to ┬845m during the first six months of 2010, with demand increasing in nearly all regions and across the entire product portfolio of its home and personal care markets.

The group's nutrition and health segment reported a 6.3% increase in sales year on year to ┬178m, while its functional products division reported sales growth of 21.4% to ┬483m, driven by strong demand in all market segments, including automotive, housing and mechanical engineering.

Looking to the remainder of the year, Cognis expected to achieve a record full-year result.

⌠However, the economic situation remains highly uncertain and trading conditions are difficult to predict. We expect that markets will remain volatile and that the recovery will continue at a more moderate pace in the second half of 2010, Trius added.

Chemical major BASF in June reached an agreement to acquire Cognis for ┬3.1bn.

BASF at the time said that the closing of the transaction was expected in November 2010 at the latest, and that Cognis would be integrated into the German chemical group's performance products segment following the necessary approvals.
